Job description

Rewards Consultant - Energy Sector - Contract

  • 6 months initial contract

  • 2 days a week in Canary Wharf

  • Inside IR35

Rewards Consultant responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Alignment

  • Assess current reward structures and identify areas needing focus/adjustment specific to that of varied functional pay practices that currently arise.

  • Align reward strategy with new business goals, organizational design, and talent strategy that align to REMCO governance.

  • Benchmark compensation against market data for new or redefined roles focusing on Korn Fery benchmarking.

  • Model cost implications of proposed changes to pay structures or benefits.

Job Evaluation & Role Mapping

  • Conduct job evaluations/levelling for newly created or significantly changed roles.

  • Support role mapping to ensure consistency in grading and levelling across the new structure.

Compensation Design & Analysis

  • Design or revise base pay structures, incentive plans, and allowances that support the new merged Retail business.

  • Analyse pay equity and internal parity across the new structure.

  • Develop transition plans for employees moving between grades or roles.

Benefits Review & Harmonization

  • Review and harmonize benefits offerings across business units or geographies.

  • Evaluate total reward packages for competitiveness and alignment with employee needs.

Communication & Change Management

  • Develop communication materials to explain changes in rewards to employees.

  • Partner with HR and leadership on change management strategies.

  • Provide training and guidance to HRBPs and managers on new reward frameworks.

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare executive-level reports on reward impacts and recommendations.

  • Present findings and proposals to senior leadership or steering committees.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and HR teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
